Technical Information
A Digital Video Stabilizer removes the
copy-protection signal from videotapes.
This allows you to copy these videotapes to a DVD recorder or another VCR.
Without the stabilizer, the DVD recorder would give a message that copying is
not allowed.
Computer capture cards: The
Digital Video Stabilizer allows you to copy your videotapes to a computer
capture card. Use the stabilizer when your computer gives you a
copy-protected videotape error message.
VCR/DVD combo units: The
stabilizer works with VCR/DVD combo units. When using a combo unit, you
need to use a separate VCR to play the videotape. Most combo units do not
provide the connections necessary for a Digital Video Stabilizer.
CONNECTIONS: Instructions are
included. We also give free telephone support.
Connect the VCR
video output to the stabilizer input. Connect the stabilizer output to the DVD or VCR video input. That is all. The audio signal
does not have to be corrected so it is not connected to the Digital Video
Stabilizer.
The model 200 includes an AC adapter and does
not use a battery.

Digital Video Stabilizer
(model 200)
The stabilizer model 100 comes with a 9 volt battery
installed. A new battery is good for about 2000 hours of use. It automatically turns on
when it detects a video signal. There is no on-off switch. A 9 volt AC adapter may be used but it is
not included. Use an adapter with a 100 mA output and a negative center
conductor.
Power consumption with video signal present:
1.8 mW.
Power consumption with no video signal: 0.5 mW.
Video bandwidth: >4.5 MHz.
An alkaline battery can last from 1 to 2 years.
